Mediation and Conflict Resolution

We offer mediation and conflict resolution in person on Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland and the Gulf Islands. We do not offer mediation and conflict resolution by video call. It is crucial for us to engage with all parties in person.

Our hourly rate for mediation and conflict resolution is $200 (plus GST). This rate includes all time spent on a matter after contracting, billed in 15 minute increments.

Mediations are typically booked for one full day, though multiple days may be required depending on the complexity of the matter and the willingness of the parties involved to work towards a resolution.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 (plus GST) per scheduled day of mediation is required.

Conflict Coaching and Separation Coaching

We offer conflict coaching and separation coaching in person on Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland and the Gulf Islands. We prefer to work with coaching clients in person, but we also offer one on one coaching by video call, anywhere in the world.

Our hourly rate for coaching is $125 (plus GST).
Coaching is typically booked on an hourly basis. A deposit is not required.

Travel Billing

All travel time outside of Nanaimo, BC, is billed at half of the applicable hourly rate, plus travel costs. Mileage is billed at the reasonable allowance rate set by the Government of Canada, currently $0.68 per km.

Rental Fees

For larger mediations, typically involving more than two parties, we may be required to rent an appropriate space to conduct the mediation. In Nanaimo, we prefer to utilize the Nanaimo Conference Centre which has ideal facilities for larger groups. The actual cost of this rental is billed to our clients, currently $270 (plus tax) per full day.

Cancellations

For coaching, we have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations within 24 hours or missed appointments will be billed in full.
For mediation, deposits are not refundable if cancelled within two weeks of the scheduled mediation date.
